The first thing i noticed was this poem does not have any periods. It is one long, long sentence. The poem used imagery to make me feel like i was in the game. I really liked the poem because it kept me on the edge of my seat until the last line. This poem does not a have a deep meaning. It is clear that the poem is about a basketball game. I think the poets reason for making it a long sentence is that it is no pausing in the poem just like in a fastbreak in a basketball game. The main Technigue used by the poet is imagery. He slows down the action in the poem to explain everything that happens in great detail. It really helps to give you not just a visual picture what is going on but you feel as though you are in the game. That is what i really loved about this poem
